Privacy Policy

MindArray ("we", "us", "our") develops Tala, an astrology and birth chart app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains exactly how Tala handles your information. The short version: your birth details never leave your device, and we have no way to identify you.

No Accounts, No Tracking

Tala has no user accounts and no sign-ups. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not build profiles, and we never sell or share data with data brokers.

Birth Details Stay on Your Device

To draw your chart, Tala uses the birth date, time, and place you enter. These details are stored only on your device, and every astronomical calculation is performed on the device itself. Your birth details are never uploaded to us and are never sent to any third party.

Spoken Readings

Tala can read your written readings aloud in a studio voice. When you tap play, the text of that reading is sent over an encrypted connection to our speech provider, Deepgram, which returns the audio. Only the reading text is transmitted. Your name, birth date, birth time, and birth place are never included, and the request carries no account identifier, because Tala has no accounts. Deepgram processes the text solely to generate speech. Audio is cached on your device so the same reading is never sent twice, and if you never use the voice feature, no text ever leaves your device. Place Lookup

When you search for a birth city, the text you type is sent to Apple’s location services to return matching places. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy, and we do not associate it with you.

Data Storage

All app data, including saved charts, friends you add for compatibility readings, preferences, and cached audio, is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it. We keep no copy, because we never receive one.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Tala offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Tala Plus. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. MindArray never sees or stores payment information. Subscription status is verified on your device through Apple’s StoreKit.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Tala schedules them locally on your device. We operate no push server and cannot send you messages.

Children’s Privacy

Tala is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on our side. You control all of your data directly on your device, and deleting the app erases it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
